Sri. Venkata Ramana Murthy Simhadri

Sri. Venkata Ramana Murthy Simhadri, IPS (Retd.), a distinguished IIM Ahmedabad alumnus and former Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, has an illustrious career spanning over four decades. He played a pivotal role in implementing India’s first online police network (eCOPS) and forming OCTOPUS, a Counter Terrorism Organization. His efforts in reorganizing police infrastructure using Operational Research Techniques are notable. As a key figure behind the Sripada Vallabha Anagha Datta Kshetram temple in Pithapuram, he has shown a deep commitment to cultural heritage and initiated a Vedic school for Pandits. As Chairman of the IIM Ahmedabad Alumni Association Hyderabad Chapter Charitable Trust, he leads initiatives like mass cleft lip surgeries, Jaipur foot camps, and the “Udbhav Schools” to support underprivileged children’s education.
